Travel apps in the US have surged following the lifting of lockdown restrictions in the country.
According to new data from Sensor Tower, first-time installs of travel apps on the App Store rose to 61 million and 24 million on Google Play during Q2 2021.
This follows a decline of 56% during Q2 2020 and highlights the recovery of the industry as a whole as lockdowns have lifted.
Overall, quarterly downloads of travel apps are 1% higher compared to Q2 2019.
