The use of dating apps worldwide continued to grow throughout the pandemic even though people were more restricted when it came to meeting up.
Data by Finaria.it found that revenues among the top five dating apps hit $100 million in January 2021.
Tinder remained the most profitable app at $64.6 million in revenues in the first month of the year alone.
In-app purchases rose by 250% over the three years to the pandemic for Tinder, from $403 million in 2017 to a whopping $1.4 billion by 2020. That’s a 250% rise.
