Google now allows publishers to push breaking news to search results in real-time.
The pilot accepts a variety of content and video, according to one report. The pilot allows for live sports, elections and breaking news as soon they are available on the publisher’s site.
Richard Gingras, Google’s head of news, announced the real-time indexing through an API at the company’s developers’ conference earlier this year.
